On February 16-17, 2018, the Chinese Language Center(CLC) at Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT), together with the organizing committee of the 2018 Riviera International Cultural Festival, composed of CLC and their Chinese students and participated in the Riviera International Cultural Festival. Competing with teams from 29 countries and regions including India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan and the Philippines, the elegant Chinese culture was shown to nearly 2,000 audiences.
At 5 pm on the 16th Feb 2018, on the road west of the Technology Tower of VIT, teams from 29 countries and regions marched neatly and marched under guard of honor.

At 9:00 on the 17th Feb, the Riviera Culture Show kicked off at the Anna Auditorium of VIT. The teams from 29 countries and regions including Bangladesh, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, China, Thailand, Afghanistan and India went on stage . Chinese team came in fifth appearance.
The opening song was sung by Hansraj Bodani's "Jiangnan," and Sheng Bozhao's superb guitar performance and Hans's proficient Chinese performance drew bursts of applause.
Followed by CLC volunteer teachers Wang Yongqi and Chinese students Chen Zhenwei, Yang Jinyi performing Five-Step Boxing, when the "loyal to serve the country," the song sounded, three people tidy and powerful five-step boxing lit the audience's enthusiasm. Then the Changquan performed by Wang Yongqi alone, daring Chinese Kung Fu caused full applause.
Next, "the Old Dream" pipa melodies sounded, Chinese students Shao Kunjie dressed in classical costumes, dancing, interpretation of Chinese classical style.
Then there is Taijiquan "Heart Tour in Taixuan" performed by Wang Yongqi, Chen Zhenwei, Yang Jianyi, Sun Peng and Yang Kaijie. Cong Shuangying and Liu Ting recited "Thousand-Character Chinese", Lin Xiaofang wrote the Spring couplets.
The entire program left a deep impression on the audience, won the applause of the audience.
